In reality, I never want to grow up.

"Being 18 is like being a man on a road trip. You have absolutely no idea where the heck you're going, but you don't want directions!"
As all of you who are reading this know...within the next hour I will be 19 and moved out (if Hannah had it her way).  18 years doesn't seem like a long time but I have learned a lot in that short amount of time but I will share 18 of them with you. One for each year.
Things I have learned:
  1. I was potty trained sometime within the last 18 years
  2. I learned to walk and talk
  3. I had to learn how to dress myself which can still sometimes be tricky to this day
  4. I learned how to drive (not very well but hey it is still an accomplishment)
  5. I learned how to be more social
  6. I've learned that without family this life would be hard.
  7. I've learned that sometimes even if you are right, an argument may not be worth it.
  8. I've learned that I am very fortunate to be where I am today.
  9. I've learned that if you help around the house you get to go out more :) sadly, this one was learned recently.
  10. I've learned that when in doubt call dad. He may not have all the answers but he can sure try to give you one that makes sense.
  11. I've learned that if something goes missing, call mom. She knows where almost everything is.
  12. I've learned that Hannah hardly has any shame...
  13. I've learned that "cancer" is the scariest 6 letter word in the entire universe.
  14. I've learned somethings need to fall apart for others to fall into place.
  15. I've learned people walk in and out of our lives but life is too short to let that control you.
  16. I've learned everything happens for a reason. We may never know what that reason is but there is one.
  17.  I've learned that as I get older, the clothes I use to wear get more and more repulsive.
  18. Last but not least I've learned...mom will appreciate this one..."A family that prays together, Pays together" :)
The last 18 years have been full of some many tragic and wonderful moments. If I could take back anything in the last 18 years I wouldn't. Those things make me who I am today. And even though I will be 19 in less than an hour, nothings really going to change. Sure I'll have more responsibility and I won't be able to have my parents get me out of everything but I honestly believe I can handle that. So with that being said... Year 19... I am ready for whatever you have to throw at me :)
